FAQ
How do you photograph your sessions?
Getting photos done can be intimidating. My goal every time is to help you relax and have fun so we can capture your most authentic self! All my sessions begin posed, then we will shift gears to more candid moments. Do not worry about trying to fake the moment-- I work mostly off of prompts and focus on what happens in-between. This is where the magic happens.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Sparta, MI (right by Grand Rapids) and YES, your girl LOVES to travel! Places I frequent include Detroit, Plymouth, and Traverse City. My dream travel locations for photography include Bozeman MT, Salt Lake City, UT, Savannah, GA, Boston, MA, and Crested Butte, CO. A standard travel fee of $25 will be applied to sessions 25+ miles outside of the Grand Rapids area. For travel out of State/Country, please submit an inquiry for travel fees.

Will you send me the original photos?
I get this question a lot! The answer is no. And here is why...
There is a lot of work that goes into selecting the appropriate settings for a camera during a session, understanding the composition, finding the best lighting, etc. And even with all the work we put into nailing a session, photos still need help. Playing with lighting, coloring, removing things like stains, sweat marks, noise in the background- you would be amazed how much time photographers spend on editing. It is about three times the work that went into your session. The finished product is what you want to frame, trust me!
